With the opening of the House of Blues at Anaheim GardenWalk, music will be a big focus, but it will be complemented by local art, plus artifacts from Asia.
The venue has commissioned two Los Angeles artists to create murals for the space. Artifacts retained from the now-shuttered House of Blues on Sunset Boulevard and the one in Downtown Disney, as well as antiques shipped from a massive warehouse in New Orleans, will be integrated into the decor.
Artists Audrey Kawasaki and Johnny “KMNDZ” Rodriguez each will create a large piece for the new establishment. Both artists are still planning stages their final designs. The 44,000-square-foot location is scheduled to open Feb. 28.
