Feilding’s artistic souls will blossom at a new creativity hub launched by two mothers.
The Space directors Danielle Glynn and Jacynda Murray are offering a series of workshops in art, knitting, photography, cupcake decorating, chalk painting and floral arranging.
The couple would be offering classes with some of New Zealand’s top creative talent.
Glynn, 27, said artistic expression was often lost among the pressures of everyday life and The Space offered people a chance to devote time to the arts.
“We want to inspire people to try something new, learn about interesting topics or take time out to get creative,” she said.
“Having a hobby is just as important for good health as exercise – reducing the effects of stress and improving wellbeing. It’s also just great fun.”
Glynn has studied fashion design and interior design.
Murray, 29, studied graphic design at the Whanganui Fashion School and Shillington College in Brisbane. She moved back to Manawatu as a graphic designer and marketing assistant at The Herb Farm and now owns her own graphic design company called Jam Designs.
