Highlights from Sunday’s Rams practice – Orange County Register

A brief look at the Rams’ training-camp practice on Sunday:

BIG MOMENT

After a rough practice Saturday, the Rams’ passing game bounced back Sunday, and the flashiest moment came when fullback Sam Rogers caught a short pass over the middle, put a move on reserve linebacker Josh Forrest and ran for a long touchdown. Rogers is a 2017 sixth-round draft pick out of Virginia Tech.

INJURY REPORT

There were no additions or removals when it came to the Rams’ injury list. Running back Lance Dunbar, who is on the “physically unable to perform” list because of an apparent knee issue, was on the field in workout gear but did not participate in any drills.

A notable former player, receiver Stedman Bailey, visited practice. Bailey, who played for the Rams from 2013-15, hasn’t played since Nov. 2015, when he was shot multiple times in Florida. Bailey officially is off the Rams’ roster.

DEPTH CHART

There were no significant changes to personnel, but the Rams did rotate their cornerbacks more often and take advantage of depth at that position. E.J. Gaines and Troy Hill got more reps with the first team and Nickell Robey-Coleman lined up inside and outside.

BOUNCE BACK

After a first day in which the defense got the better of the offense, Coach Sean McVay said he was pleased with the bounce-back effort of quarterbacks Jared Goff and Sean Mannion.
