Four inducted into Hawks Hall of Fame

The 2017 Athletic Hall of Fame induction at Laguna Hills High School was as much of reunion as a celebration of athletic achievements.

Because for the first time since its inception four years ago, Hawks coaches were inducted along with athletes. And the coaches that were inducted – Steve Bresnahan (football) and Lynn Taylor (girls basketball) – coached their fellow honorees.

The athletes entering the hall were football player Michael Jones, a 1998 graduate who holds the Orange County career rushing record with 7,190 yards, and basketball player Tamara Inoue, who was named to numerous all-league, all-CIF and all-county teams, and was a member of the Hawks CIF and state champion squad of 1997.

“It’s a complete honor,” said Inoue, on her induction. “I couldn’t ask for anything better.”
