OnePlus at its launch event in New Delhi has today launched its latest flagship device, the OnePlus 6T. Thousands of "fans" of the Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus flocked from across India to witness the launch of OnePlus 6T, the ninth smartphone from its stable.
For the first time on a OnePlus smartphone, the 6T comes with an optical under-display fingerprint sensor. With up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, the 6T is up there with the big boys, and dual cameras offering 16 and 20MP will keep photographers happy. To recall, the OnePlus 6T was globally unveiled at an event in NY yesterday.
The India launch event will be live streamed exclusively through social media handles as well as official YouTube channel. The OnePlus 6T will be available in the U.S. as a T-Mobile exclusive. But, there is one major caveat that doesn't allow the launcher to run on any device that isn't running OxygenOS 9 based on Android Pie.
Following its unveiling, the OnePlus 6T became available to pre-order right away.
The highlight feature has to be the in-display fingerprint scanner, that again, is not a new feature, and Vivo has strong claims to hold that laurel in the industry.
Saudi attorney general leading Khashoggi case arrives in Turkey
Khashoggi, who was divorced, provide proof that he did not have a wife and thus his trip to the consulate. On October 19, Saudi Arabia admitted the journalist had died during a fistfight inside the consulate.
The smartphone will come with a bigger 6.41-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED display on top in an 19.5:9 screen aspect ratio.
Speaking about the new feature, at the launch North America Region and Global Marketing, Kyle Kiang, said: "We have been thinking about what low light photography actually means". But, those who own the OnePlus 6 can test out the Nightscape mode very soon as it will be introduced to the device next week.
OnePlus 6T also comes with the new Smart Boost feature, which improves the app cold start speeds by up to 20% by storing data from frequently used apps in the phone's RAM.
Unlike the other T variants of OnePlus, the recent OnePlus 6T is quite different compared to OnePlus 6. OnePlus 6T has a waterdrop-style notch, with a three-in-one ambient light sensor, distance, and RGB sensor, and front-facing camera. It is interesting to note that in the box, there is a "Type-C to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter". The front camera also supports EIS, and can recording 1080p video at 30fps and 720p video at 30fps.
The phone is powered by a 3700mAh battery with OnePlus' proprietary Fast Charging capability. According to OnePlus, a designated team called "Team FSE" (Fast, Smooth, Efficient) has been established for the single objective of improving Android performance and the overall user experience.
