Looks like there's a major death coming to the X-Men, at least judging by the first trailer for the franchise's latest release, "Dark Phoenix".

At pains to say that it was only a test screening - meaning there could be plenty of edits to come before release (and the current reshoots) - the user, who later deleted his account, gave a scathing review. The fourth chapter of the saga featuring younger versions of the original characters - and the twelfth overall in the X-Men franchise - picks up almost a decade after the last chapter, X-Men: Apocalypse, and is an adaptation of "The Dark Phoenix Saga", the famous comic book arc where Jean Grey (Turner) develops a more confident, powerful and antagonistic personality.

Please let them get it right this time.

That wasn't necessarily a given, seeing as this is the second attempt to translate the Dark Phoenix story to film. We get flashes of Jean's wake of chaos: a decimated town, fire, military response and a conflicted band of mutants!

X-Men Dark Phoenix Space

It shows the Game Of Thrones star alongside James McAvoy as Professor X and Michael Fassbender as Magneto, as well as Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique and Nicholas Hoult as Beast, also known as Hank McCoy.

Dark Phoenix is due to arrive in cinemas in February 2019. A new update was also shared that the movie will no longer carry the "X-Men" tag. "I think there's such a revolution in superhero movies".
