Pitt GM 'disappointed' Bell hasn't reported

Tomlin said he hasn't communicated with his star running back this week, and he was vague on expectations for Bell's arrival.

He was not at the Rooney Complex yet again.

Now five days before their season starts, the Pittsburgh Steelers still haven't seen Le'Veon Bell. "He wrote me a long note before camp and explained what was going on".

"Whenever he gets here, we will celebrate with him", Pouncey said. "We'll weigh all of those things at the appropriate time, but right now we're just singularly focused on the guys who are here and working, (the guys) who have been here and working, and just kind of building a plan around variables that we know".

Guard Ramon Foster said the team is focused on "the 53 that are here".

As for the new season, Underwood is just looking forward to what the future has in store for him. Underwood also dated Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, though the couple split up in June 2017.

Last year, when Bell played under the franchise tag, he reported to the Steelers on Labour Day and suited up in Week 1. But until then, let's ride. The Steelers and Bell have been unable to reach a long-term deal for the second consecutive season. We're seasoned for that, I think. If he comes on this journey, he comes on this journey.

Bell did not show for the Steelers' practice on Monday and has yet to sign the $14.5 million franchise tender the team offered him. "We put him in the backseat, strap him in and be ready to go".

"As I've told you throughout this process, when he gets here, that's when we'll start quantifying all Le'Veon Bell-related things", said Tomlin.

"We all know Le'Veon's running style is unique and it's different for the line, it's a change for everybody but I think James Conner really took advantage of the opportunity and has done some great things".

The team had a bonus practice Monday and, unlike previous year, Bell was not a part of it. That being said, today's version of Conner is more experienced and someone who's gained the confidence not only of his teammates but of his coaches as well. It's fine. He showed up past year at the same time.
