Chelsea scored twice in the opening 20 minutes, conceded twice before halftime and had a late victor through Marcos Alonso in a 3-2 victory over Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Chelsea looked in total control thanks to goals from Pedro and Alvaro Morata, but the visitors rallied through two goals in four minutes from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alex Iwobi. Mkhitaryan produced nearly a carbon copy of Aubameyang's miss but made amends with a fine left-footed strike to get the away side back into the game, and Iwobi thumped high into the net from the Armenia winger's cross to level the scores before the break and leave the home crowd shell-shocked.

Chelsea and Arsenal served up a feast of goals in a thrilling London derby in the Premier League.

There was still time for Aubameyang and Iwobi to pass up another two great chances as Arsenal ended the half on top.

After hitting back from two goals down against Chelsea, Marcos Alonso snatched an 81st-minute victor for the hosts .

Emery deployed the duo in tandem during pre-season and Lacazette's introduction alongside Aubameyang sparked Arsenal's most encouraging period of the 2-0 defeat to Premier League champions Manchester City on the opening weekend.

Emery's decision was a welcome one for many Gunners supporters, as was evident from their reaction on Twitter.

"I have two years left on my contract and we'll see what happens".

"I am very happy with Cech's performance - he has experience, he has quality, he has the capacity", Emery said, via The Telegraph.

"I think we have to work, improve in the basics and I'm not talking about only the defenders".

"It is better to be on the pitch than watching on the bench, but the boys when they are playing they did well so I am just happy for the win", Hazard said. I think one of the most important clubs in Europe can not sell an important player without the possibility of buying a player on the same level.

"We need to keep our personality, keep our mentality", Emery said.
