Fortnite for Android not officially available on Play Store: Google

Thing is, the company that created it, Epic Games, just announced that it won't be publishing it via Google Play, the market where most users - in the Western hemisphere, anyway - get most of their apps.

Samsung's exclusive rights to the Fortnite for Android beta will expire on August 13, after which the beta will open to dozens of more Android devices. Below the message, Google has helpfully listed the developer account for Epic Games.

Internet security experts usually urge mobile phone users to only download apps from official stores like Google Play and Apple's App Store.

Fortnite, the year's hottest video game, is finally making its way to Android devices. But the same message does not appear on the web version of Google Play as yet.

Tottenham told Aston Villa's Jack Grealish not for sale at any price
"Building a new training ground, finishing this summer the (player's) lodge was a massive investment". That is true, don't believe in £400m, that is the truth. "I don't feel the panic in football".

Fortnite Battle Royal by Epic Games, Inc is not available on Google Play.

Google isn't very happy about this as they seem to put Fortnite's main competitor PUBG at the top of search results when someone searches for the aforementioned game.

Fake games on the Play Store have been a problem for some time. In addition to that, users who pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 between August 10, and August 23 will get the option to either choose 15,000 V-bucks (in-game currency) with Fortnite Galaxy skin or a pair of AKG noise-canceling headphones.

If more developers follow Epic's path, then the road to unauthorized and potentially harmful downloads on Android devices will only widen. Subsequently, once this wave starts to subside, the company will then bring Fortnite on Play Store. We'll keep you updated on the latest.
