"Put up - I mean I guess if we were playing poker (you would say) 'Put up or shut up.' What do you got?"

In a series of weekend tweets aimed directly at the special counsel Robert Mueller's Russian Federation investigation, President Donald Trump accused Mueller of neglecting to report a series of unresolved conflicts including what he said was a previous "very nasty and contentious business relationship". Of course not, ' Giuliani said. But the shifting focus from a strong denial of collusion to questioning whether collusion would even be illegal marks a shift for the Trump legal team.

Trump and Giuliani's stance has moved from there was "no collusion" to "collusion is not a crime" after the U.S. President's former lawyer Michael Cohen alleged that then candidate Trump knew about a meeting between his son and a Russian lawyer at the Trump Tower in NY. Then-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, also participated in that meeting.

"It's not an order, it's the president's opinion", White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders told reporters, adding that Trump wants the probe to "come to an end".

Trump regularly repeats the denial on Twitter and in remarks.

The former New York City mayor told CNN weeks ago that Trump might be coming around on the idea that he should resist sitting down for a wide-ranging interview with Mueller.

In his tweets, Mr Trump also said the investigation was triggered by a damning dossier compiled by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele, and questioned why Mr Mueller was not probing Democrats. Trump also accused Mueller of bringing on too many Democratic investigators, and the President made a false claim about the origin of the Russian Federation investigation. "That's up to the president and Mueller to describe, it's not part of my legal representation". The President has said he would like to sit down with Mueller if he perceived he would be treated fairly.

Both the opposition and Western election observers have urged that presidential election results be released as soon as possible. But the MDC earlier accused the election commission of deliberately delaying results in favour of the ruling party.

Giuliani told CNN's "New Day" on Monday that Mueller's team had been unresponsive to their recommendations for an interview between Mueller and the President for 10 days, adding that he believed the Mueller team is "in bad faith about an interview at this point".

'The president has always had a soft spot for Cohen.

In the CNN interview, Giuliani referenced a conflict so severe that if it were him, 'it's one that would have kept me out of the investigation.' But he wouldn't divulge more. Trump wrote on Twitter.

The message marked the first time Mr Trump publicly elaborated on prior vague claims of conflicts of interest.

Russian Federation has denied the finding of USA intelligence agencies past year that it interfered to sway the election to Trump.

"Including the fact that we had a very nasty & contentious business relationship, I turned him down to head the Federal Bureau of Investigation (one day before appointment as S.C.) & Comey is his close friend". Trump has also asserted he didn't know about the meeting.

Giuliani on Monday focused his conversation on recently released tapes between Cohen and Trump and between Cohen and CNN host Chris Cuomo, which Cohen secretly recorded.
