In a series of weekend tweets aimed directly at the special counsel Robert Mueller's Russian Federation investigation, President Donald Trump accused Mueller of neglecting to report a series of unresolved conflicts including what he said was a previous "very nasty and contentious business relationship". Of course not, ' Giuliani said. But the shifting focus from a strong denial of collusion to questioning whether collusion would even be illegal marks a shift for the Trump legal team.
Trump and Giuliani's stance has moved from there was "no collusion" to "collusion is not a crime" after the U.S. President's former lawyer Michael Cohen alleged that then candidate Trump knew about a meeting between his son and a Russian lawyer at the Trump Tower in NY. Trump also accused Mueller of bringing on too many Democratic investigators, and the President made a false claim about the origin of the Russian Federation investigation. "That's up to the president and Mueller to describe, it's not part of my legal representation". The President has said he would like to sit down with Mueller if he perceived he would be treated fairly.

'The president has always had a soft spot for Cohen.
In the CNN interview, Giuliani referenced a conflict so severe that if it were him, 'it's one that would have kept me out of the investigation.' But he wouldn't divulge more. Trump wrote on Twitter.
The message marked the first time Mr Trump publicly elaborated on prior vague claims of conflicts of interest.
