EPL: Guardiola hints on leaving Manchester City ahead of 2018/2019 season

"City is a big club".

Pep Guardiola says he is not concerned by rival clubs spending money as Manchester City aim to hold off several challengers for their Premier League title.

United were contenders last season but they could not stop City romping to the title, Guardiola's men finishing the campaign with record tallies in terms of points (100) and goals scored (106).

"All Liverpool fans hope they can put some pressure onto City".

Spurs start their Premier League season on the road at St. James' Park against Newcastle 11 August.

It was a busy January transfer window in the Premier League as most of the top teams brought in significant reinforcements for the second half of the season. "The level is here, now we try to take the level, every team tries to do better and better".

Guardiola was rewarded with a two-year extension to his contract in May and has admitted he wants to make City even more formidable opponents.

Both English teams enter this battle on the back of respective defeats to German side Borussia Dortmund in the International Champions Cup.

He has grown in stature in worldwide football as well, having been bestowed with the responsibility of being the Belgium captain. The Spanish giants are plotting to sign Hazard from the Blues as they look at life after Cristiano Ronaldo joined Juventus.

"The day that this is football, I'm not in a job anymore", he said, "because the game is about playing together".

"The people at the club. know it depends on results".

"But the family is happy living in Manchester, my experiences of the Premier League are good".

Many expect Liverpool to mount a sustained push for major honours this season, with Klopp having spent close to £180 million on the signings of Fabinho, Naby Keita, Alisson Becker and Xherdan Shaqiri so far this summer.

"He's very ambitious. He wants to win everything".

"All the contenders, United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham will be stronger, Everton took a good manager, West Ham with Manuel [Pellegrini], always the expectation is high".
