11 members of family found hanging blindfolded in north Delhi home

The police investigation is underway and officers are scanning the CCTV footage to find the reason of the crime.

"We are investigating from all possible angles, we are not ruling out anything", said Rajesh Khurana, joint commissioner of Central Range police.

The victims include four men, three women and four girls. The family ran a grocery shop in outer Delhi's Burari area and plywood business in Sant Nagar. "The last, a 75-year-old female, was dead on the floor", a Delhi police official told AFP. The incident came to light when a neighbour went to the house to call the family head with whom he go for morning walk. There he saw the door open and was shocked to see 11 people hanging by the window grill. He alerted the other neighbours and informed the police.

Police is yet to give out further details of the case.

Police officer Vineet Kumar said on Sunday all of them belonged to a family and most had lived in one home in Burari village in the northern part of the capital.
