Salah's World Cup campaign with Egypt also seems to be in doubt due to the recovery time.

Sergio Ramos has wished Mohamed Salah well with his recovery as the Egypt global faces a race against time to be fit for the World Cup.

Salah, who scored 44 goals for Liverpool this season, came off just half an hour into the game in tears after hurting himself in a challenge with Sergio Ramos.

The 25-year-old tried to continue but went down to the turf once again four minutes later in obvious pain and pointing to his left shoulder, before he was replaced by Adam Lallana.

Supporters have called on UEFA as well as FIFA to take action against the Spaniard, who got tangled with Salah in a challenge during the final, causing a shoulder injury to the Egyptian, morale dip for Jurgen Klopp's side leading to Liverpool losing and threat of Salah missing out on FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russian Federation.

However, addressing the issue for the first time since being withdrawn by Jurgen Klopp, the potent attacker insisted, via his official Twitter page, that he is "confident" he will recover in time for the World Cup.

Salah's performances this term, following his move from AS Roma, have made him Liverpool's top performer and a national hero.

The Reds had impressed early on in the tie but were ultimately undone by two Gareth Bale goals after Sadio Mane had cancelled out Karim Benzema's opener.

"He didn't play the final, we lost a very important player like probably Egypt lost a very important player. From what I said so far it doesn't look really good".

The Premier League giants were unable to upset Real Madrid in the decider in Kiev on Saturday, suffering a 3-1 defeat.

"It was not the best script for us tonight. I believe we are going in the right direction", the midfielder told United Kingdom newspapers.

The youngster, who has improved dramatically across the season, admitted to costing his team a chance at winning.
