Clayne Crawford Responds to 'Lethal Weapon' Firing with Glum Photo

A new Martin Riggs has been found to replace Clayne Crawford on Fox's Lethal Weapon - Seann William Scott. Scott will play a new role that is folded into the series to fill the shoes of the departed Riggs as Roger Murtaugh's (Damon Wayans) partner.

'Seann is a fantastic addition to this already awesome cast, ' Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn told The Hollywood Reporter. Lethal Weapon is packed with action, drama and pure fun and we can't wait to see Damon and Seann together on screen. "Matt Miller, his incredible team and everyone at Warner Bros. have been tremendous partners, and we're thrilled to bring this show back for another season".

For the past few weeks, the rumors around FOX where that the network would either cancel the hit series "Lethal Weapon", or replace the lead-actor Clayne Crawford.

Fox Renews "Lethal Weapon" for season 3, but there's a controversial cast change in the works that has some fans seeing red. Warners on Sunday confirmed Crawford will not return to the drama with a statement: "Warner Bros".

Fox's stipulation was that, should Lethal Weapon continue, the role of Riggs would be recast, and the show has spent the weekend in limbo as multiple actors auditioned for the open role.

Besides "American Pie", Scott's credits include "Road Trip", "Role Models", "The Dukes of Hazzard", "The Rundown" and "Dude, Where's My Car?".
