Winning numbers revealed in Friday's Mega Millions $521 million jackpot

The New Jersey Lottery on Twitter that the winning ticket was sold at a Lukoil station in Riverdale, Morris County.

The jackpot is the fourth largest in the history of the game, which has been played since 2002.

The winning numbers are 11, 28, 31, 46 and 59, with a Mega Ball of 1.

One ticket each with five numbers, but missing the Mega number, were sold in OH and Texas.

Also Friday night, two tickets, sold in OH and Texas, matched the five white balls to win $1 million each. No one had matched all six numbers since January.

The show attracted millions of listeners and shattered records for the number of times a podcast has been streamed or downloaded. The first season of Serial premiered in 2014, and called into question a number of facts surrounding Syed's case.

It's the nation's tenth largest lottery jackpot.

It wasn't yet known whether anyone had bought a winning ticket.

Strong sales pushed Saturday's jackpot to an estimated $521 million ($317 million cash).

If no winning ticket has been sold, the jackpot will once more roll over into next week, at that point likely becoming the third-largest jackpot ever.

The victor in that game had the option of being paid out in annual installments over almost 30 years or a one-time, lump-sum payment of $273.9 million. $1.6 billion, Powerball, Jan. 13, 2016 (three tickets, from California, Florida, Tennessee) 2.
