The high temperature at the beach is predicted to be pretty close to 80 degrees this week with a Gulf water temperature of 70 degrees and warming a little more each day. It's been sunny, dry, and mostly clear almost every day, but clouds have moved in quickly and it'll remain warm and humid for the next several days. Skies become partly cloudy by Wednesday afternoon.

We're heading into a period with elevated rain chances and the potential for a few severe storms.

It will be rain showers and gusty wind during the afternoon on Wednesday. Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine on Saturday then sunshine followed by increasing clouds on Easter Sunday.

Temperatures are not forecast to drop below 2C overnight for the majority of the working week, however the Met Office predicts that Saturday evening may feel a lot colder than the rest of the week. Temps should start warm and get well into the 70s (80s south) before plunging into the 50s by late afternoon with strong north winds.

Today: Mostly cloudy, cool and breezy at times. After a few morning showers linger early Wednesday, much of the day may end up largely rain-free.

Elgar and Rabada frustrated the Australians for 50 minutes as they took South Africa's overnight total from 266 for eight. Cummins didn't let that happen with his brilliant burst.

We start today warm and humid with a band of showers and storms west of the Metroplex, which will move in later this morning through midday.

Good travel conditions are expected for Monday with dry roads for the North Island while the South Island will be dealing with slightly wetter weather, and scattered showers possible for parts of Otago, Southland, and the West Coast regions. A cold front will be moving through with associated rain showers.

That leads us to the week's best as Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 50s! As moisture increases, dew points are beginning to rise and there could be a few areas of showers beginning in Northwest Alabama overnight tonight. Sunday: Cloud and sun, high in the low 20s.

THURSDAY: Cloudy and damp with a shower or two.
