Nobody would have imagined this happening a few months ago - but now, an ambitious goodwill tour is turning into a reality. Now, North Korean fans will once again see their favorite performers up close and personal as a reciprocal visit after the said country attended the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. They will be giving two major performances, along with lots of smaller engagements.

A number of K-pop artists, including Red Velvet and Seohyun, are among a 160-strong art troupe being sent to Pyongyang by South Korea for a number of concerts between March 31 and April 3.

Red Velvet is the first girl group to perform in North Korea since Baby VOX in 2003.

After Korean leader Kim Jong Un recently announced his intention of improving ties between the North and South Korea, the announcement hopefully indicates a possible alleviation of the conflict between the two countries.

Their good relationship has been ignited by the recent Winter Olympics.

During the transition period, agreements dating from the U.K.'s European Union membership would continue to apply. The thorny issue will, however, require further talks to be fully resolved, the two sides said.

South Korean singer and chief delegate Yun Sang talks with Hyon Song Wol, head of the Samjiyon Orchestra, during their meeting at the truce village of Panmunjom, North Korea, March 20, 2018.

North Korea is set to host it's first K-Pop concert in over a decade.

"The talks are the first inter-Korean official consultation over the South's art troupe". The Koreas haven't agreed on who else will be included in the South Korean artistic delegation.

The Unification Ministry said Wednesday that it set up a six-member advance team to inspect facilities and accommodations in Pyongyang ahead of planned concerts by South Korean artists.

"While we're on the stage, I believe it will be hard to portray personal feelings towards denuclearization", said singer and record producer Yoon Sang, who led the South's delegation at Tuesday's talks.
