Authorities have tracked down the Pennsylvania high school student missing with a 45-year-old family friend in Mexico, and the teen girl is on her way to being reunited with her family.

Yu along with Kevin Esterly, 45, have been missing since March 5, and when the girl did not return home from school that night, her mother reported her missing, the Allentown Police Department said.

Esterly was placed into custody by Mexican authorities. "They will be escorted back to the United States to Miami Florida by Homeland Security Investigations agents and United States Marshall Service deputies".

Mui Luu, the girl's mother, said last week she discovered the alleged romantic relationship Esterly and her daughter when she found suggestive text messages on Yu's cellphone.

Yu's mother then told the school that she's a single mother and school workers called police, Hammer said.

Allentown police Capt. Bill Lake said Yu left the country willing with Kevin Esterly.

Yu's mother said money, jewelry and her daughter's personal documents were missing, reports said. Her well-being, the alert said, was at risk.

She said that the family met the Esterly family through church. Allentown police told the Esterlys to stay away from the teen's home when the responded to a call on February 15, according to court records.

When the alarming pattern was detected in February, Esterly was barred from school grounds and a series of disagreements allegedly arose between Yu's mother, Esterly and his wife. Amy is going to need counseling and their daughters are going to need counseling. Police say the teen had changed school documents to list him as her stepfather.
