Tomb Raider Games Are Getting Free Remasters on Steam

Dominic West thought he would be the love interest in the new "Tomb Raider" movie. These mobile ports have been received relatively well (Tomb Raider has a 3.8 user rating on the Google Play store, and Tomb Raider II has a 3.9), but still, you may want to temper expectations a bit.

The original games are there on Steam as well, however they can only run through an emulator, which brings forth a bunch of issues regarding performance, resolution and controls. However there is no mention of how much the remasters will cost for those who did not purchase the original.

I had no idea that the first three Tomb Raider games were available on Steam but, yep, they're all there. However, today the company tweeted that the PC remaster has not been endorsed by Square Enix, and that the mod is "a working idea" which has not been officially green lit yet. The classics will benefit of a new 3D engine, thus obtaining improved lighting and shadow effects, as well as advanced post-processing filters.

Before closing down discussion, Realtech VR tweeted that the PC version with the new 3D engine would be "even better than the mobile port" which is now out, with real shadows and 64bit support.

Texas A&M Selected as No. 7 Seed in NCAA Tournament
The Hokies are among nine teams from the ACC playing in the NCAA tournament , the most from a conference in this year's field. I want to pick Michigan State so bad, but Tom Izzo is 1-11 against Coach K and Duke won this game 88-81 on November 14.

Additionally, there will be proper support for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers. We also got to use some spectacular sequences from the game, because why not?

Realtech VR is also providing the remastered versions of the "Tomb Raider" games 1 to 3 for free to those who already own them via Steam. No word has been given yet about remastering other games in the series.

There is no release date set at the time of writing, but Realtech VR has already done the first two games. There will be news in the upcoming months.
