As with most major Hearthstone expansions, The Witchwood will add two new core mechanics to the card game: Echo and Rush.

In The Witchwood's exhilarating single-player mode, Monster Hunt, Gilneas' greatest heroes are called to cleanse the forest of this darkness. The expansion also adds another single-player experience that will follow a similar formula to Kobolds & Catacombs' Dungeon Runs, building on one of the game's best ideas from the Year of the Mammoth. To follow this theme, at least one of the new cards will change in your hand every turn.

RUSH YOUR FOES - When played, minions with the new Rush keyword can attack other minions immediately, but can't attack the enemy Hero until the following turn. Players can pre-order The Witchwood starting today, with Blizzard's standard 50-pack prepurchase bundle offering 20 additional free packs and an exclusive card back.

A new free Monster Hunt single player mode, simiar to Kobolds & Catacombs' Dungeon Run, which will challenge players to eight continuous hard battles, leading into a big boss fight. This one-time-only bundle is available on any platform for $49.99 (one purchase per account).
