It was announced that Fortnite Battle Royale would be landing on mobile devices later this year, and PlayStation, PC, Mac, iOS, and then Android would all be cross-platform compatible with cross-platform game progression.
It looks like the ball is in Sony's court when it comes to cross-platform play in Fortnite between the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. Unfortunately, we are unaware about the state for the Android version of the game, but we hope it follows shortly after the release of the iOS version. The game's free-to-play battle royale mode, Fortnite Battle Royale, has become a fan favorite in that genre, posing serious questions to current top-dogs PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. You'll be able to sign up starting Monday, March 12th for the Invite Event on iOS.
The popular multiplayer first-person shooter "Fortnite" has announced that it would support cross-platform gameplay between its various versions, including Xbox One.
The game will support cross-platform play, with the press release touting console-quality graphics across all platforms. New invites will roll out as the servers can handle more players. However, we're still stuck in a situation where everybody can play together, except for PS4 and Xbox One players.
