Streaming: "The Oscars: All Access", featuring red carpet highlights, backstage footage and moments from the Oscars telecast, will stream live on The Academy's Facebook page on Facebook Watch; on the ABC Television network Facebook page; Oscar.com and ABCNews.com beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Ryan Seacrest is a mainstay of E!'s red carpet coverage, but on Sunday night, he'll be a polarizing presence.
The network insisted that nothing was being handled differently than usual, and pre-taping some segments was normal. Others have said that while some will avoid him, others will talk with the longtime host, who is well-known to many celebrities. According to Deadline, Hardy underwent years of harassment while she worked with Seacrest.
It's Time to Place Your Bets - the 90th Oscars Are Here
You're probably aware that the 90th Academy Awards are nearly here - but you might not know that people actually bet on them. And I like when a movie can do that which is why if there's going to be a surprise on Sunday night at the Oscars .
Seacrest recently faced allegations by his former stylist of inappropriate behavior, including crotch grinding, rear-end slapping, and more, resulting in fears that some celebrities interviewed by Seacrest will make comments or otherwise behave in ways unfit for television.
Seacrest responded by once again denying the claims. As of now, the entertainment industry is still unsure on whether to allow Seacrest to continue his obligations as radio host and, more importantly, his coverage duties for the upcoming Oscars. I am not a judge.
In December, then-E! host Catt Sadler announced she was leaving the network, largely because she was only being paid half the salary of her male co-star and her requests for a raise were denied once she discovered that. "I eagerly participated in the investigation in order to demonstrate my innocence because I know my truth, and I believe in due process". I am not a jury. Will actresses speak to Seacrest on the E! red carpet as they arrive for the 2018 Oscars? News and shouldn't be on us.... Scandal actress Bellamy Young was another person who spoke out against Ryan, saying, "I think this is the time to step aside and let someone of equal talent that is beyond reproach to be in charge". "News is of this issue - and of women".
Given the controversy surrounding Seacrest, the Daily Beast's Kevin Fallon wrote last week that E! should have immediately cut its losses and asked Seacrest to stay away from the red carpet.
