One look at the new Zenfone 5 models and it's not hard to mistake it for the iPhone X. The 5 and 5Z sports a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of full HD+.

As stated, ASUS hasn't declared the price of the Zenfone 5 and 5Z yet. Alongside these two handsets, we can also expect the ZenFone 5 Lite which was launched at MWC 2018 Asus event last night come to India. One thing to remember, though, is that the ZenFone 5 won't have the facial recognition features as found on iPhone X. There is another version also with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The ZenFone 5Z is the big Daddy of them all and packs some very decent specs within it's iPhone X-looking body.

With low pricing and high-grade specs, Asus could be onto a victor here, but may struggle to steal the limelight from big-budget phone rivals like Samsung and Apple. It has a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio in a 19:9 format with a 2246 x 1080 resolution, which inevitably leaves it with a notch.

It had to happen: Android phone makers are adopting the iPhone X's notch.

The ZenFone 5 family includes the ZenFone 5 Lite, 5, and 5Z. It come with 4 GB or 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB or 128GB storage. There is no official details on pricing but the company confirmed that it will be available starting April this year. The company didn't reveal the price of the other two models as of yet. At the rear, there is a horizontally-aligned dual rear camera setup on the top left corner and a circular fingerprint scanner which is positioned towards the center. The main rear camera is a 16 MP f/2.2 unit with phase detection autofocus, while the main selfie snapper is a 20 MP f/2.0 part using the Sony IMX376 sensor. The front-facing camera is of 8-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture and 84-degree field of view for wider selfies. While it's similar to Apple's Face ID system, Asus' Face Unlock option may not be as advanced, as it is an added feature that has been included in order to address demands from audiences.

Both Zenfones have a 3,300mAh battery each with AI Charging technology. At first glance, it seems the ZenFone 5 will follow in the strong photography-focused footsteps of its predecessor.

With Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845, the Asus ZenFone 5Z has the most powerful mobile chip on board, and also features Qualcomm's AI engine.

The cessation, however, does not apply to military operations against the Takfiri terrorist groups such as Daesh and al-Qaeda. Turkey has warned that the Afrin offensive could expand to the nearby Syrian city of Manbij.

As for the battery, both the Zenfone 5 and the 5Z use a 3300mAh battery.

Android Oreo with ZenUI.

If rumors are to be believed, Asus Zenfone 5 is expected to arrive in a number of variants.

The first thing I'll say, however, is that the Zenfone 5 would not be possible without Apple and Samsung's innovation.

MobileSyrup was pre-briefed on the Asus ZenFone 5 and Asus ZenFone 5 Lite at MWC. The Zenfone 5 Lite, however, comes with a more traditional 18:9 aspect ratio display.

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor (alongside a Snapdragon 430 variant) with 3GB/4GB RAM. The device will be available in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with 64GB of Internal Storage Memory as default memory on the device.

The camera on the rear of the Zenfone is a 12MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash, along with a secondary rear camera that comes with a 120-degree wide angle lens.
