The Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact ditch the blocky phone design Sony has been using for years, in favor of rounded corners.

Mr. Blass stated that the 5.7-inch Xperia XZ2 and the 5-inch XZ2 Compact have "largely the same features", with a few exceptions.

Both these smartphones are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 chip which is the best available right now on Android devices, and, both of them boot up to Android 8.0 Oreo.

Venture Beat says that there will be a 19-megapixel camera on the back.

Venturebeat also confirmed the XZ2's smaller sibling, the Sony XZ2 Compact, saying that the two handsets "boast largely the same features with some caveats". Both phones have Gorilla Glass 5 protecting their full-HD LCDs. While Sony has maintained silence on the next-generation flagship device, many believe the company might be looking to launch a phone with a curved back. But now, the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is set to mark Sony's disassociation from the bezel phones as the company is slated to announce its fresh new flagships, namely the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact.

Federal Advisory Committee Recommends FluMist for Next Flu Season
It's been a severe flu season, but some areas across the country are reporting dwindling numbers including some NY counties. The vaccine's maker, AstraZeneca, said a small study shows a new version appears to work better.

Sony is expected to take the wraps off its Xperia XZ2, Xperia XZ2 Compact, and the Xperia XZ2 Pro smartphones at the annual event.

The XZ2 also comes with 3D glass on both sides of the aluminum frame. The front offers a larger screen-to-body ratio than any other Xperia phone in the past. The rear of the devices will also house the fingerprint sensor. This will likely make the smartphones stand at par with the Samsung Galaxy S9 series which is also expected to pack the same chipset for the U.S. and European markets. It can do a recording of 4K HDR video and it is capable really slow-motion capture in Full HD resolution. As for the battery capacity, the Xperia XZ2 has a 3,180mAh cell which can be charged with a Type-C USB connection or through wireless induction.

All the same, despite the online leak of information about the models, the relevance of the MWC 2018 still remains as official details regarding the pricing and release specifics can only be known on the day of the event.
