In addition to this, there's support for 4K resolution and 60fps gameplay on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. There hasn't been a new Burnout, however, since the release of Burnout Paradise ten years ago in 2008.
Burnout Paradise Remastered, an enhanced version of developer Criterion Games' classic open-world racing game, will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 16 for $39.99, publisher Electronic Arts announced today. This includes the extension to the drivable world via Big Surf Island.
"When people think of Criterion Games, they often remember the Burnout franchise and for good reason". Paradise was the last entry in the main series, with just one more Burnout title later released on mobile devices in 2010.
Webster also went on to say that Burnout Paradise Remastered will have the trademark stunt driving and the speed found in other Burnout games.
Burnout Paradise's remaster was listed back in December on a Brazilian site and the Japanese release date and pricing were reported back in January. Thankfully, it won't be long before players can revisit Paradise City: the remastered game is launching on consoles on March 9th. A PC version is in the works which will bring Big Surf Island to the platform for the first time.
Burnout Paradise Remastered will be released on March 16, 2018, but fans will also get a chance to play on March 9, 2018, when the "Play it First" trial begins. This pretty much confirms that Burnout Paradise is coming out next month, on the PS4 at least.
