The recently announced Union Budget has been causing a huge turmoil in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar assured the TDP members that the Centre was sensitive towards their demands.

During an interview to an English news channel this week, Jaitley had promised to fulfil the government's commitments towards Andhra Pradesh and had assuaged fears of a split by claiming that NDA will stay united before the upcoming 2019 general elections.

As soon as the House reassembled after a brief adjournment in the post-lunch session, almost half a dozen TDP members trooped into the Well of the House holding placards "Follow Alliance Dharma", "Keep Your Promises Now" and "Save Andhra Pradesh".

The House then took up the debate on the Motion of Thanks to the President's Speech as the protests continued.

"Please go to your seats". TDP members started protest and Congress members Renuka Chowdhury and T Subbarami Reddy joined them.

One TDP MP also brought a "chimti" and a "khartal", a musical instrument that chimes, and was seen presenting his party's demands by singing a bhajan, chanting "Jai Govinda, Jai Gopala".

Both houses of Parliament were adjourned soon after proceedings began on Tuesday. On Friday, Naidu stated that the centre had given menial treatment to Andhra while earmarking allocations in the budget.
