The girl's mom called 911 after she discovered the child on the front porch. She is ice cold! My little girl froze to death.
Heartbreaking new details have come to light in the case of a 2-year-old girl who died after being found outside of her OH home in frigid temperatures by her mother. She's not responding to me!
No charges have yet been filed over the incident.
Akron police said around 3:30 Friday afternoon, they were called to the apartment on Doty Drive.
The mother is reported to have left the child in her father's care in order to carry out some errands with her four-year-old son.
"While Wynter and her dad slept peacefully, Wynter being the growing, curious, ambitious toddler that she is awoke from her nap without disturbing Dad and left our home".
The father, who also wasn't publicly identified by police, "works a night shift job and fell asleep", police said in the statement.

The mother had been away from the house for about two hours, police said.
"You're doing well", the dispatcher told her. "Keep going".
Asked how long the toddler had been out there, she replied, "I have no idea!"
"You're gonna carefully tilt the head back", said the dispatcher, trying to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation instruction. "Where are they? Oh my God, she's not responding!"
"I cried because I just don't understand how a two year old could be outside and you not know", Crystal said. It literally broke my heart'.
An official cause of death had not yet been determined, the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office told IBT that the girl's autopsy was completed Monday, but that the death is still being investigated.
